PONDOK LORO BLONYO ARTS AND LIVING was established in 2002
What began as a hobby in 2002 blossomed into a purposeful business. Our skilled artisans specialise in crafting handmade Loro Blonyo sculptures from both wood and clay. Each piece is a testament to our history, dedication, tradition and artistry.
How Loro Blonyo is made:
Loro Blonyo is handcrafted from natural materials such as clay and wood, Clay is classified into three categories- earthenware, stoneware and porcelain depending on the fired density. All clay needs to be exposed to heat to become ceramic, usually fired to at least 1,290°F (700°C).
The wood used in our handcrafted Loro Blonyos mainly comes from kayu sengon (Albania wood) or kayu jati (teak wood).
All Loro Blonyo products are designed and individually handcrafted by talented artisans in our own factory - thus there can be slight variations in glaze, size, texture and weight.

So delighted with our custom, made to order Loro Blonyo. The quality and craftsmanship is outstanding and I loved that the company wasn’t satisfied with their first attempt, and made a second set to be sure they got it just right. Amazing customer service and lovely works of art!!! I would add photos, but cannot figure out how to do so!!
